CPG Careers

About

A curated job board, not a database.

The CPG and food and beverage industry already has plenty of job boards. This is not another one of those. This is a curated list of director-and-above roles, read by people who know the industry.

Why this exists.

For twenty years we have placed senior leaders into CPG and food and beverage companies, from emerging founder-led brands through public mid-market businesses. Every week we hear the same thing from operators we trust: there is no good place to browse the roles that actually matter to a senior person in this industry.

The big boards list 12,000 jobs at every level and function. That is useful if you want to see everything. It is useless if you want to know what is happening at the leadership tier of the brands you respect.

So we built this. A few hundred curated roles a year. Director and above. Real companies. Honest editorial notes from people who know the businesses.

What the editorial note means.

Every listing carries a one-line note from us. We write it after reading the job description and (when possible) talking to the hiring leader.

The note tells you what the job actually is. The reason it is open. The authority the hire will have. The size of the team. Whether it is a turnaround, a build, or a steady chair. The kind of context that a job description leaves out.

We do not write puff. If a role is small or quiet or odd, we say so. The point of the note is to save senior operators twenty minutes of guessing.

How HAP fits in.

CPG Careers is a standalone job board. You do not need to know anything about High Altitude Partners (HAP) to use it. You do not need to apply through HAP. We do not show your application to HAP. The board is editorially independent.

That said: HAP is the team behind this. HAP runs retained executive search for the same industry the board covers. When an employer needs more than a listing (a confidential search, a hard-to-find profile, a board seat), HAP is who we send them to. We do that openly so you know.

If you want a retained search, you can go straight to HAP. If you just want to browse roles, you are in the right place.

How submissions work.

Anyone can submit a role. If it fits the board (director or above, CPG or food and beverage, real company, complete description), we list it free as a curated submission. Submissions go through us first; we add the editorial note and publish.

Employers who want a featured slot can pay for one. Featured listings get top placement, inclusion in the weekly digest, and a social mention from the HAP network. The same editorial review applies.

We reject roles that are below director level, outside our industries, contracted out to a third-party recruiter on contingency, or written so thinly that we cannot tell what the job is.

A note from Andy.

The board exists because the people I respect most in this industry kept asking me where to look when they were ready to move. The honest answer used to be “mostly LinkedIn, and ask around.”

That is a fine answer if you have a strong network. It is a terrible answer if you are quietly looking and do not want your boss to know. So we built a place where you can scan real leadership roles without having to ask anyone.

If you have a role to list, an opinion on a listing, or a recommendation for something we should be carrying, email me. I read every message.
