Aviary is hiring a Director of R&D to lead our small but growing food science team as we move our flagship plant-based egg product from beta into commercial launch in late 2026.
Where we are
- Two food scientists in seat.
- One product currently in 40 beta restaurants in NYC and LA.
- Series A funding closed in February 2026.
You will
- Own R&D strategy and execution.
- Lead the technical work to take the beta product through commercial production.
- Build out the team over the next 18 months.
- Report to the Founder and CTO.
You should have
- Eight plus years of food science experience.
- Direct experience launching a plant-based protein or fermentation-derived product at commercial scale.
- A PhD in food science or related discipline is preferred but not required.
